After a long journey I reached Majestic, Bangalore city. I highly appreciated the arrangements of Volvo a\c coach. I had a sound sleep. Morning time, the beauty of the garden city appeared as a nature queens blossoms!

I am  the first time to the city. It’s admired me a lot!

First of all, I like to have one suitable room to fresh. I noticed one decorated board which called me to there. Middle class restaurant, I would like to have one room. This room is OK. Had a good bath, I called the room boy through the bell.

Room boy knocked the door and entered the room with a smile: “What do you want, Sir?”

“One coffee, one set of bread and butter, quickly.”

He closed door and went off.

Who is this guy? Some pictures changed my mind to somewhere.  But I could not recollect his face through my flash back. Even some case may be involved him. My thought is being unfit!

Knocked the door and appeared the room with my break-fast. He placed the items on the table.

“Do you want anything more, sir?”

“Thanks, No. I will call you back. OK.”

He starting to went off.

“What’s your good name?”

“Vinod”

“Living at?”

“Kerala”

“In Kerala, which place?”

“Cherthala”

“Oh! Elephantiasis.”

He smiled at me: “I have no Elephantiasis.”

“Nobody have the deceases so far. But the trade mark is still well-known.”

“Sir, did you come there?”

“Yes, I know the place. One LIC agent, Mr. Purushothama Varma, do you know him?”

Suddenly his face fades out and steps to go.

“Wait. Are you Rama Varmas sister’s son Vinod?”

He looks at me, keep silent.

“Why are you not talking me?”

“I couldn’t understand you?”

“Oh, Then only you spoke? I am Crime Branch C.I., Mohan Varma.”

Some flashes through his mind, looks at me with cruel eyes.

“Why are you staying here unknown? Tell me the fact? I want to take custody more culprits. Are you a terrorist?”

“No. I am not a part of any organization.”

“What’s your aim? Why should you refused your parents and stay here unknown?”

“I am not in unknown; known by everybody?”

“Better, you know how to spoke?”

I took my camera for snap.  His eyes become dark.

I was watching his movements and took three different angel snaps of him.

“I am not a wanted person for Police.”

“Who told?”

“So far any registered case against me.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes sir, I am not involved any case.”

“Then, how long you dispersed from your home?”

“Nearly fifteen years!”

“Definitely there has some cause?”

“No sir.”

“Surely has! You have to say the truth otherwise I will directly be taken action against you.”

His eyes are wondering somewhere.

“Go and take a bottle of cooled water soon. Don’t go anywhere, understand?  If you turn off, balance will be done by my camera. OK!”

Fast fifteen minutes, he didn’t come.  I rang the bell.

Another room boy appeared before me.

“Where is Vinod? Call him soon!”

“Anything order, Sir?”

“No. I want to see him urgently”

“Yes Sir.”  He went off.

After a few mintues, Vinod reached the room.

“I thought you ignored me.”

“Why shall I ignore you sir? I don’t have any foul game from my part.”

“So, you never frightened anybody so far?”

“No Sir”

“Sit here. I want to know something about you?”

He sat the chair.

“Why don’t you go to your parents? What’s the reason you left the home?”
He kept silence for a little while, then he spoke:

“Left the home …. Some reasons occurred. In my childhood, I had one friend named Alfred whose dad had left the home in the childhood itself. He advised his child, better go some unknown place and have had  made good experience, knowledge in business and language. As Alfred inspired me a lot, at last we decided to start our journey to Kochi where his Aunty had staying with family. We searched there but could not find her residence. At night, we slept in a shop varanda where so many beggars were sleeping. One side mosquitoes and other end the beggars. Alfred become changed his mind in the morning,  to see his mom and decided to go home soon. But my mind says that never returned to home. At last I passed alone the Mattancherry Bridge. I saw the railway station where trains came and gone.
At last, I entered the train and sat in a corner. I got hungry. I have nothing to eat. One old man who understood my position and gave his half part of the food to me. I actually tired and slept soon.”

He stopped the explanations and looking towards me a short time.  I have been learnt his face impressions wheather he says true or not.

“When I heard the loud voice, I woke up. I knew that I reached Bangalore. Wondering here and there, at last I reached in front of this restaurant. In the sunlight I wait for long time, I fed down. That saw the elder brother of this shop, Mr. Ravi who gave me two Chapatti and curry. I began with that two chappati to start work here. In the lunch time I got enough rice and curry. I decide in mind that I will not go anywhere from this lovely Restaurant. They gave me the shelter too.”

“Did your parents know your stay here?”

“No, What for? Why should they know about me?”

“Yours dad and mom ….?”

He looked at me cruelly: “Dad!”

“Are you ashamed?”

“Yes. My pray is to never face him in the rest of my life. I hate him!!”

“Why?”

“It is my childish thoughts and painfulness!”

“What’s that?”

“I don’t want to reopen the fast. But I don’t know … I will tell you Sir. Every Saturday, that man getting his weekly wages. At that day, My mom called us for night prayer. We were five children. He reached home with creeping in four legs holding a big bottle of brandy. Mom was fully upset and threw away that bottle. With big sound it broken. That dowel beat my mom cruelly. We also got more. There was nothing to eat. Mom was watching that man might bring the rice and curry items in time. That person comes with drunk fully. It was his daily practice.  Tell me, what I should do at that stage. If I not left the place definitely I might be killed him!”

“Why are you talking unnecessary elements?”

“I am very sorry to say, my poor mom was working two three small houses for our needs. From that families gave her little food stuffs. That was our grand dinner! Also that Bastard hurt mom again and again, for  demanding money for his drink. It hurt me a lot!!”

“So, you are not a criminal!”

“Must had a criminal”

“That’s the reason to left the home!”

“That’s the truth.”

“Then I can expect from you good need also.”

“Only after the end of that four legged animal!”

“Then, what do you mean the rest of your family members?”

“Mom had also made mistake against him.”

“Mom!! What’s the actual reason?”

Dowry.”

“Dowry?”

“Yes Sir. Mom’s family gave him only imitation gold of 5 bangles and a necklace for her wedding presents. He made a loan with this gold. Bank refused the imitiation and had called the police. He became violent and scold the Mom’s family members. He had been become changed his attitude and culture. Started drinking regularly to question mom and beat her hardly. Drinks start from that situation.  He was drink in a small quantity without in our presence. After that without drink he could stand steadily, become shearing. Totally change his mood. Normally he seems subconscious. Mom was suffering a lot. Mom’s family was also in a poor stage. They were eight members, mom was seventh one. All were ready for marriage. Last one was boy who was studying in lower class. Mom’s dad has had paralyzed in bed. This was the mom’s family background. He was fully ignoring all this facts. He drunk for everything to be forgotten.”

“Yes, he had the feeling that the mom’s family fully cheated him!”

“Yeah, I hate him not only for drinking but also beating mom hardly.”

“Do you want to see that mom?”

“Then that beggar?”

“He is no more, passed away four years back.”

“What’s my mom?”

“Protect with happily.”

“What about sisters?”

“They are doing well. But in your vision, they are awaiting for marriage.”

“I would like to see them soon, Sir.”

“No sir, called me as Uncle Mohan Varma.  I will arrange you to see them soon. You told that your moms have one brother who was studying in lower class. That guy is me,
Understand?”

Vinod face becomes blossom with tears. I take his hand, kissed it and closed to me. He can not believe it.

“Tomorrow morning I have to attend a case in the Court, after that I will be here almost 3 o’ clock. You should ready for home, before that you have to good-bye to all of yours Boss and all. I can book ticket for evening Volvo bus, OK.

Vinod very happy to close the door and waive his hands against me.
